means "a thing of beauty" in the Tibetan language, and
we are committed to bringing you only the best in contemporary designs
for the floor. We work exclusively with fine artists to offer our
customers original and unique designs, and our factory in the Kathmandu
Valley is vertically integrated, therefore guaranteeing the strictest
quality control.
At NyingZemo we are equally committed to giving back to the communities that allow us to bring to you this magnificently hand-crafted product. Our factory is RUGMARK certified, guaranteeing that no child labor has gone into the making of our carpets. We also provide our workers with a clean and dignified work environment, knowing that the pleasure and pride they feel for their work will be evident in every step of the production process and will enhance the beauty of each finished rug. We
are also aware of the terrible reality of girl-trafficking and
prostitution prevalent in Nepal, and we donate a percentage of
each sale to ABC NEPAL, a social service organization that rescues,
shelters and helps to reintegrate these women into society. |
